In a Few Words: A Step by Step 'Love Map' to Get an
Ex Back
I found The Magic of Making
Up through a friend who had watched a couple of
videos by the author, TW. Jackson (aka 'T-Dub'), and liked
what he saw. I had just broken up with my boyfriend and
was in dire need of relationship advice; specifically,
advice on how to get an ex back or saving a relationship
from a break-up.
My first impression of 'T-Dub' is that he's genuinely
interested in helping others. Through his writing and the sound
of his voice, you can tell that he is respectful and aware of
your feelings, and that he is down-to-earth and warm.
But don't let his low-key personality fool you.
T-Dub packs a punch in terms of the quality of his work and his
keen knowledge of human behavior. He may say things you'd
rather not hear, or suggest you do something you'd rather
not do (like stop text-messaging your ex!); but
he's basing his suggestions on his
experience helping people through break-ups.
The Magic of Making Up is a step-by-step 'love
map' to get an ex back. T-Dub's
method and advice (he forewarns us early on), are sometimes
counter-intuitive. But
when he explains why, it makes sense. And even better, when the
method is applied,
it works!
In his guide, Mr. Jackson teaches among other
things:
-
How to
be in the
right frame of mind to get your ex back
(panic does
not work).
-
Assess where you are in the heart
and mind of your
ex.
-
Based on where you
are, you will have a step by step
proven method to achieve
your
goal.
And just as
important...
-
He
will teach you what you need to do to maintain
the relationship once you are
back together.
In my own case,
I didn't have to follow the whole method, because, lo
and behold, I made
up with my boyfriend shortly after applying what
T-Dub calls the ''opening move". It's a
very simple thing to do, and yet, because of its
counter-intuitive nature, the 'opening
move' can have an instant effect. In my case, it did!
Basically, the opening move consists in ''being
in agreement with the break-up."
Yes. While everything in you says that if you agree with the
break-up, you will lose your
partner for good, the effect is shockingly the opposite, or at
least it was in my case.
One of the things I like about Mr. Jackson's
approach, is that the changes you will be
making (in yourself and in your relationship), are real
changes; these are not tricks to
get a reaction from your parnter. In my case, for example, I
didn't tell my ex that I agreed
with the break-up until I felt that I did. I genuinely felt
that at the point we were, a break-up
was the only solution, and I communicated this to him. I told
him he was right, that a
break-up was exactly what we needed at that moment.
Men love being right don't they :)
All I can tell you is that agreeing with him (even if it was
agreeing about a break-up)
instantly brought us closer together! We began a process of
reconciliation based on
the understanding that we both needed to make changes.
From that point on I followed a few more of
T-Dub's suggestions (so as not to ruin what
I had accomplished), and I didn't even need to implement all of
the steps and techniques described in The Magic of Making Up.
In any case, what I applied, worked; this 'love map'
to get an ex back did the trick and lived up to its name,
The Magic of Making Up.
